On Bruci and ‘Guslarska’ with a dear guest Ana Maria

Welcome back to a new video on Creating 'D a r k V e l v e t'. In this episode, I wish to share a talk with a special guest, the granddaughter of Maestro Rudolf Bruci and his solo violin piece 'Guslarska' which will be on the CD 'D a r k V e l v e t'. Rudolf Bruci, the founding father of musical life and all its main institutions of Novi Sad, Including The Academy of Arts where I graduated violin, was a winner of the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition in 1956 with his symphony Lesta. One day in 1993, he left me honoured with a wonderful unexpected present 'Guslarska', a solo violin piece which he wrote for me.

About Creating 'D a r k V e l v e t': | This project has several layers and although it might seem that it is about recording a CD, my main goal is to bring the process of creating new music and the language of contemporary music closer to the audience in a form of video journaling on this Playlist of my YouTube channel. My wish is to connect music that is being created as we speak, with the audience and give the listener an opportunity and guidance to get introduced to the language of new music in a form of a playlist containing talks with composers, my process of studying and learning the pieces. #julijahartig #creatingdarkvelvet #rudolfbruci
